Everest Base Camp Trek

Your adventure begins upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. A representative from Himalaya View Treks will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel, a bustling tourist hub filled with trekking shops, cafes, and cultural sites. You can explore the city, relax, and prepare for the trek ahead. Overnight stay in Kathmandu hotel.

An early morning scenic flight (35 min) takes you to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. From here, the trek begins with a gradual descent through charming villages and suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. After a short 2.5-hour trek, we reach Phakding, a picturesque riverside village. Overnight stay at a tea house.

Today’s trek takes us through dense forests, crossing several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge. The trail ascends gradually towards Namche Bazaar, the largest town in the Khumbu region, often called the Gateway to Everest. This vibrant town is filled with markets, bakeries, and trekking shops. Overnight stay at a tea house.

The trek continues with stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We pass through Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, before reaching Pangboche, a beautiful Sherpa village with traditional stone houses. Overnight stay at a tea house.

The trail leads through alpine landscapes and glacial moraines as we gain altitude. The climb becomes steeper near Thukla Pass, where memorials of climbers who lost their lives on Everest stand. We then continue towards Lobuche, a small settlement surrounded by towering peaks. Overnight stay at a tea house.

One of the most exciting days of the trek! We hike along the Khumbu Glacier, passing through rocky terrain before reaching Everest Base Camp. Here, we witness prayer flags, ice formations, and the breathtaking view of the Khumbu Icefall. After spending time at EBC, we descend back to Gorakshep for the night. Overnight stay at a tea house

An early morning climb to Kala Patthar rewards us with the best panoramic sunrise views of Everest and neighboring peaks. After enjoying this breathtaking moment, we descend towards Pheriche, a lower-altitude village known for its healing Himalayan air. Overnight stay at a tea house.

Retracing our steps, we descend back through rhododendron forests and suspension bridges towards Namche Bazaar. This day allows trekkers to relax and enjoy the vibrant town after several days at high altitude. Overnight stay at a tea house

The final trekking day follows a mostly downhill trail, passing familiar villages and crossing bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Arriving back in Lukla, we celebrate our incredible journey with the trekking team. Overnight stay at a tea house

An early morning flight back to Kathmandu brings us back to civilization. You’ll be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax, explore Kathmandu’s cultural sites, or enjoy a farewell dinner. Overnight stay in Kathmandu hotel.
